IRCAS is a voluntary scheme which aims to improve resident outcomes by ensuring national standards applying to Governance, Consumer Services and Protection, Environment and Safety, Innovation and Sustainability are maintained in participating retirement villages. The IRCAS Standards provide a framework for quality and risk management and are designed to keep Australian retirement villages at the forefront of retirement living internationally.
IRCAS has partnered with Quality Innovation Performance (QIP), formerly Quality in Practice, to deliver a national Retirement Community accreditation program. The program has now launched and the Standards are available for download (3mb).
IRCAS is comprised of the following key industry associations including Aged and Community Services Association (ACSA); Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA); Aged Care Queensland Incorporated (ACQ). These strong partnerships will ensure the IRCAS program remains relevant and meets consumer and industry needs, now and into the future.
